Weather Update: The people of the various regions of northern and central Indian states, including Gujarat has been alarmed with an orange alert for severe rains, as per the India Meteorological Department. In anticipation of severe rainfall, the IMD has issued orange advisories for the regions of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Saurashtra, Kutch, Mehsana, Surat, Dang, Kheda, Anand, Valsad, Tapi, Narmada, Bharuch, Patan, Vadodra, Tapi, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha and Aravalli. However, heavy downpours have been predicted for Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh including the capital cities of both the states, i.e. Jaipur and Lucknow respectively.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that there will likely be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the many parts of states including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The India Meteorological Department reports that there has been intense rainfall in certain areas of Punjab, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Karnataka.
Weather Update: Temperature of some major cities
These are the following predicted maximum temperature of the prominent cities.
Mumbai is under a yellow alert from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), indicating that caution is advised. The highest temperature may be around 31°C, while the lowest may only be around 25°C due to the rain.
The India Meteorological Department states that there's a risk of heavy rain in some parts of Delhi. The minimum temperature of the city may only reach about 28 degrees, while the maximum temperature is predicted to drop to 36 degrees.
